My work explores distinctive cultural customs and social interactions in America. Recently, I have set the scene in the supermarket based on the impulse to delve into common and mundane activities that are rooted in daily life - experiences that we share and bring our own set of memories and associations to. Yet, which fundamentally serve a purpose, and in that way can be obligatory and overlooked.

Investigating the social interactions and cultural customs of Americans while embedded in these modes of behavior requires very considerate observation. I am consciously approaching the subject matter in a linear way by processing what I observe, being less rigid in my expected outcome, and acknowledging myself as a participating actor in the culture my work addresses.
